WE REALLY NEED TO TALK
Sundance 2010 was filled with a lot of great films and great time and times for real but this was the most incredible. Surreal, esoteric, beautiful, poignant and frankly haunting. The Temptation of St. Tony was all of these things and more. This is one for the ages, maybe one of the best films I’ve ever seen in the theater. Reminicent of Bela Tar, Veiko Ounpuu’s second feature is darkly hilarious and severe. 1/2 of the Estonian films made last year (as there are only about 2) it is necessary to view this. Completely and utterly so.
