WKEND MADNESS (PART 1 = WORDS)
This weekend was kind of totally on point with the amount of madness that took place. Allow me to give you an idea of what occured.
FRIDAY - 8oz Burger Bar = Grass Fed 6oz Burger/Party with Comedians and late late night Beru show where Jessica Collins + Ben Davis Collins took over my heart and mind at Laemmle Movie Theater in Pasadena. Secret shows sometimes take place there w/ great projections and music. Made me feel like being in high school and staying up late doing the underground thing that is sometimes done that way.
SATURDAY - Ate brunch with our HUNNIES Ben Davis Collins and Jessica Collins (married). Then went on to shop in the Sunset Junction area of life. Jessica is a complete fashion MAVEN and took me to the good shops that are just around the corner from the pretty good shops and I spent $$ and I felt SERIOUS.
Whilst in the middle of all of this I got an email flyer from a sweet mouse of mind that said there would be a party not even 1 mile away from my home in a converted church now warehouse. I said yes to it. The theme of said party (read: Birthday Party for SKINNY Directors) was LApocalypto which is something that you dress up for. Future Gangs + LA = Cannibal Mime LA Gang for Ramey, Eagle and the Ert (more pictures to come). Don’t front.
We did the facepaint, we hit the bottle, we filled the flask and were out in no time. Richness achieved.
SUNDAY - Went to ye old stomping grounds (read Downtown LA) to eat what’s commonly referred to as The Lamb and Blue from Philippe’s. Lamb and blue cheese french dip with sides of potato salad, coleslaw and one sour pickle is what occurred there. After I was “puffed out”. Pretty majorly. I suggested that we walk around the side of the building to get to our car the long way. As we rounded the corner we saw cops with guns drawn and probably 5 cop cars and all sorts of hoopla. So we went inside and tried to go out another way and were told to stay inside. 10 minutes later we were released and went to the car. Not sure what was the issue right then but I’ll let you know.
Next we went to Groundworks and got a cup and then the art supply store where I purchesed a stainless steal sharpie (amongst other delights). After I attended Eagle’s softball game in Van Nuys and then went home and got on the couch and thought it to be a place of great magic.
