LYKKE LI COVERS KINGS OF LEON (FINE BUT…)
I really hate to do this, to compare the LADIES OF THE NIGHT that I hold dear but Lykke is good. She is enjoyable. Her performances are a little hammed/hamish. I know ROCK STARS like to ham IT OUT and sometimes they do and it’s brilliants (Karen O.) and sometimes they do and it’s like, “Wait, no. Stop… Stop that right now.” This is one such performance but OK. It will not stop me from playing her tunes on an ipod boombox and sticking it out Nicky Loomis’ car window in as we drive through Silverlake and as people walk their dogs and become confused…
